Our first fund

Seven years ago, we set up the Sustainability Fund of the KCD family (KCD = Church, Caritas and Social Welfare), which offers all our clients – even those with a "smaller" budget – the opportunity to invest responsibly. You can choose between a worldwide equity fund or a pension fund. The KuC Union Fund (KuC = Church and Caritas), a diversified fund set up by the Catholic church banks in 1990, has also been equipped with a sustainability filter as of the fourth quarter of this year.

Award-winning fund

The fact that profitability and responsibility are not mutually exclusive is demonstrated by the selection of the KCD Union Sustainable Pension Fund as the Fund of the Year by EcoReporter.de. This fund was one of the most successful sustainable pension funds in 2007.

This result shows that with the concepts behind the KCD Union Sustainable Fund we have developed a practical procedure for the selection of securities that takes into account the central requirements of Christian social teaching, while also offering investors attractive opportunities for increasing the value of their portfolios. They also show that the preservation of creation and the achievement of competitive returns are not contradictory.
