Sustainability comes into play in every area at BANK IM BISTUM ESSEN. Whether it's in everyday life, daily work or our product range: the subject of "sustainability" plays a key role.
Within the company, the environmental impact of the business activities of the bank were recently measured in an environmental assessment. The aim of an environmental assessment is to enable permanent improvement in the key figures for "electricity", "heating energy", "paper", "water" and "waste", in order to make an appropriate contribution to environmental protection.
Sustainable products are constantly being added to the bank's product range. For example, micro-finance funds have been introduced: these small loans help to overcome poverty in emerging and developing countries by enabling people to build an existence for themselves.

We support renewable energies with our investment offers, e.g. participation in one of the largest bio-energy parks in Germany. An environmentally-friendly and highly promising investment form.
In relation to investment in your own home or Church institutions, we offer special consultancy services that take environmental aspects into consideration. These are offered with an optimum financing package, using funding from the KfW.
